Kirari 31 Matcha

Rebel Bunny’s Kirari 31 from Shizuoka is a single-variety Japanese matcha, grown in Tenryu, Shizuoka. This matcha is stone-ground for a smooth texture and a striking bright green colour. It opens with a floral aroma, complemented by subtle fruity notes and a gentle, natural sweetness.

Although it is particularly delicious as a traditional usucha, its floral character also makes for a lighter and more pronounced matcha latte experience when combined with milk. Compared to heavier matchas with a pronounced umami flavour, Kirari 31 offers a more delicate and aromatic profile with a clean finish and an elegant drinkability.

Kirari 31 is a relatively new cultivar with limited production and is increasingly appreciated by matcha drinkers seeking modern Japanese matcha cultivars that go beyond the more common varieties such as Yabukita.
