Matchaeologist
Product description
Matchaeologist’s Houjicha powder is a roasted Japanese green tea from Uji, Kyoto, developed using a deep-roasting process to achieve a rich, warm flavour. Notes of roasted nuts, coffee and caramelised sugar create a full-bodied and balanced flavour with naturally low bitterness.
This hojicha is made from carefully selected tea leaves that are steamed, dried and traditionally roasted to enhance aroma and depth. The roasting process is precisely controlled to achieve consistent intensity and balance, resulting in a smooth and approachable flavour.
After roasting, the tea is finely ground into a powder that dissolves easily in both beverages and recipes. The full-bodied flavour comes into its own in milk, making it ideal for hojicha lattes, as well as for baking and other culinary applications such as desserts and ice cream.
Suitable for both home use and professional applications such as cafés and kitchens.
